Phulara Ridge Trek Overview

Phulara Ridge Trek

The Phulara Ridge Trek is one of the rare and extraordinary ridge treks in the Indian Himalayas, nestled within the pristine Govind Wildlife Sanctuary of Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Unlike typical valley or summit treks where expansive panoramas are reserved only for the highest peak, Phulara Ridge offers an exhilarating, uninterrupted 4 to 5 hours of continuous ridge walking at over 12,000 ft with 360-degree Himalayan vistas unfolding on both sides.

Starting from the famous trekking hub of Sankri, the trail winds through enchanted pine, oak, and silver birch forests before opening up into the mesmerizing meadows of Bhoj Gadi and the rolling alpine grasslands of Pushtara Bugyal. Trekkers get up-close views of prominent peaks including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Black Peak (Kalanag), Ranglana, and the Kedarkantha peak across the valley, making it a dream trail for photographers, birdwatchers, and Himalayan explorers.

Why is Phulara Ridge a Must-Do Trek?

Phulara Ridge stands out for its unique geographical features and visual splendor. Here are the key highlights of this incredible journey:
