Arrive in Chopta after a long drive. Check into the campsite and rest.
Start the trek early to Tungnath. Visit the temple and then climb to Chandrashila Peak. Enjoy the spectacular 360° views. Descend back to Chopta.
Take a short drive to Sari Village. Trek to the beautiful Deoriatal Lake. Enjoy the reflection of the Chaukhamba peaks in the lake. Return to Chopta/Sari area. And later midnoon we will start return to Rishikesh.
Rishikesh/Haridwar serves as the primary assembly and starting point for the Chopta Chandrashila Trek. Participants are required to reach the pickup point on their own. Our trek team will coordinate the pickup from Natraj Chowk / Bus Stand, Rishikesh or Haridwar Railway Station.
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, located approximately 20 km from Rishikesh and 35 km from Haridwar. Taxis and cabs are readily available to reach the pickup point.
Haridwar Junction and Yog Nagari Rishikesh Railway Station are well connected to Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Dehradun, and other major Indian cities.
Regular Volvo, Deluxe, and Government buses run frequently from Delhi (ISBT Kashmiri Gate), Chandigarh, and Dehradun to Rishikesh and Haridwar.
